Why screen colors might differ from the real thing?

Why screen colors might differ from the real thing?

We totally get it — sometimes a wallpaper looks one way on your screen and another way in real life.

Updated over a week ago

Here’s why:

  • Every screen is different — Your phone, laptop, or tablet all display colors slightly differently depending on their settings (hello brightness, contrast, and night mode).

  • Lighting changes everything — The same wallpaper can look warm and cozy in one room and cooler in another, depending on the light source and time of day.

  • Photo editing & filters — Lifestyle photos on our site or Instagram are styled to show the vibe, but may be edited or taken in different lighting, so the tone might look a bit lighter or darker.

Because of all that, the only way to be 100% sure about the color is to see it in your own space — with your furniture, your paint, and your lighting.

That’s why we highly recommend ordering a sample first. It takes out the guesswork and gives you a real feel for how the color will live in your home.
